A New Chapter

Exhausted, sore, bruised and... happy? This weekend I finally had the opportunity to premiere a project that has been 3 years in the making. Often, I become so busy and determined, that when a project or piece finally comes to life, it does not register until after the show. As I was walking through the Baton Rouge airport this morning, the nostalgia began to sink in. Looking around, I thought of all the obstacles that have been overcome, all the moments of despair, the loss, the worst of times, and the best of times. This airport was my launch pad. The end, and the beginning.

Today...strong again, I stand.

Will power- check.
Determination-check.
Open heart--CHECK!

The performances this weekend were not about money, not about status; but about living out a vision which helped to pull me back to myself and find meaning in my life and art again.

When I get back, there is more work yet to do, and that is alright by me. Because the reward for all that has taken place in the last two months is finally sinking in.

Thank you, Of Moving Colors, and Andrew Knox, for collaborating with me on a project that is the beginning of a new chapter.
